Laurens, SC – Joe Tyson has been promoted to administrator at the Johnson Detention Center, replacing Chris Hudson who retired last month to pursue other career options. Tyson began his career with the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office in September 2007 as a detention deputy. He rose through the ranks, eventually serving as assistant jail administrator under Hudson.
