"The holiday season is all about reaching out to the less fortunate," Austin Meyer said. "We feel like that spirit should be extended to homeless animals as well. For a dog or cat having to spend Christmas in a cage, to get a visitor with toys and treats helps make life happier, if only for a few hours."
