McCORMICK — Speaking at Thursday’s meeting of the John de la Howe School Board of Trustees, State Inspector General Patrick Maley said it is important for South Carolina to treat troubled teens before they get into deeper trouble. Maley told the trustees that state leaders are starting to understand the importance of investing in behavioral health problems early. “Doing so prevents greater costs downstream, and the return on your initial investment is tenfold,” Maley said.
