GREENWOOD – To those who don't believe a letter to the editor accomplishes anything, take a look at the case of local attorney Rauch Wise. In defense of the Lander College men's basketball program, Wise, who will be honored on Wednesday, Jan. 13 between the Bearcats' men's and women's games against USC Aiken, wrote a letter to the sports editor of The Index-Journal (Greenwood, S.C.) back in the mid 1980s to drum up support for Coach Finis Horne's team.
