Lander University’s Jeff May, Vice President and Director of Athletics, announced today that he will step down at the end of the 2016-17 academic year. “Simply put,” said May, “it is time. It was never about the destination. It was always about the journey.” “I have had a great run and Lander has been good to me beyond words and for that I am, and will always be, very grateful.” May has guided Lander Athletics for the past 19 years. While Lander teams have won numerous conference, regional and national championships, May is most pleased with the success of the student athletes in the classroom and for the success stories after they leave Lander.
