Keldrick Demond Andrews was convicted yesterday in connection with a shooting that occurred in 2012 on Central Avenue in the City of Greenwood. Andrews pled guilty to Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature, which carries a maximum of 20 years. Circuit Judge Frank Addy sentenced Andrews to 20 years suspended to 14 years in the Department of Corrections and 4 years probation upon release. He will have to serve at least 85% of his active sentence, and his conviction counts as a strike under South Carolina’s “three strikes” law.
