Lander head men’s soccer coach Van Taylor was named the NSCAA Southeast Region Coach of the Year it was announced late last week. Taylor, who has coached Lander for 29 years, led the Bearcats to a 12-5-2 overall record. The Bearcats reached the Round of 16 in the NCAA Division II Tournament after defeating Flagler, 1-0, in the opening round, and Queens, 2-1, in the second round.
